We will be drawing the winners for our fundraiser raffle after practice on Wednesday Jan. 6th.  If you still have tickets out, please make sure they are returned to practice tonight or Wednesday as we need to account for 100% of the tickets / money prior to drawing the winning tickets.

Jackson USA Wrestlers earned 86 out of a possible 100 points for the team event in Highland on December 12th, winning the team championship for the tournament.  The tough United Southern All-Stars finished 2nd with 79 points, with Triad finishing 3rd.  It was a great showing for our second tournament of the season.  Individual results are posted under the Results link above.  Congratulations boys!

Jackson USA Wrestler Alec Bailey was selected as the Outstanding Wrestler in the entire 7 and 8 year old age group at the tournament in Bethalto Sunday.  He earned first place in his weight class by pinning his opponnent in all three matches.  Daniel Dickerson was runner-up for Outstanding Wrestler in the 6U age group, winning two matches by falls, and one match by a score of 6 - 0.

Out of the 30 Jackson USA Wrestlers competing, we had 6 champions, 3 runner-ups, 8 third place finishers, 3 fourth place finishers, 3 fifth place finishers, and 2 sixth place finishers.  This was a great showing for our first tournament of the season!  Good job boys!

Congratulations to Kevin Welker for being elected to the position of Vice President and to Steve McCord for being elected to serve on the Board of Directors.  The officers re-elected to their positions are: Mark Guilliams as President, Michelle Norrick as Secretary, Terry Byrd as Treasurer, Doug Dickerson as Communcations Director, and Wade Guilliams as a member of the Board of Directors.  The remaining two directors are appointed positions and are filled by the Head Coach (currently Luke Rayburn), and a representative from the Jackson High School Wrestling coaching staff (currently Jeff Scott).
