Cole Welker Wins AAU Triple Crown

Congratulations to Cole Welker for earning the AAU Triple Crown by winning the Ozark Championships, the Missouri National Challenge, and the AAU State Championship.  This is a great accomplishment.  In 2009, there were only 25 Triple Crown Champions.  The complete list for 2010 has not yet been released.

Randall McDowell Earns Most Falls by a Champion

Randall McDowell not only won the AAU State Championships, he did it in just 1minute and 29 seconds.  Randall won his first match by a fall at 29 seconds, then won his next two matches in the semi-finals and the finals with falls at 30 seconds.  Congratulations Randall!

Cole Welker Earns Most Falls by a Champion

In addition to winning the Ozark AAU Championships, Cole Welker will also be receiving a very nice plaque to recognize that he had the "Most Falls by a Champion" at that tournament.  Cole also won the Missouri National Challenge and is the only wrestler in our club still eligible to earn the very prestigious AAU Triple Crown this year.  The Triple Crown is awarded to wrestlers who win the Ozark AAU Championship, the Missouri Challenge, AND the AAU State Championship.  The AAU State Championships will be held 2/28/2010.  Congratulations and good luck at AAU State!
